HAROLD
FRANKLIN’s path into production began in front of the camera as an actor. Early on, he pursued acting opportunities that gave him valuable insight into performance, storytelling, and audience connection. Being on set taught him how every detail, from lighting and camera placement to timing and delivery, shapes the bigger picture of a production.
That experience in front of the camera soon sparked a deeper curiosity about what happened behind it. Harold transitioned into the technical world, gripping cables, running cameras, and learning production from the ground up. At the same time, his creative passions extended into music. He became a musician and a member of the band Press Play, where he not only performed but also took on tour management responsibilities. Traveling on tour, coordinating logistics, and experiencing the energy of live music night after night deepened his love for both music and entertainment production.
Those early years as both a performer and technician built the foundation for what would become a career dedicated to storytelling, live performance, and bringing big moments to life.
Over the course of his career, Harold has helmed a wide range of live broadcasts and productions as a producer, director, and stage manager, working with world-renowned artists and entertainers including Jordin Sparks, En Vogue, TJ Jackson, Haley Reinhart, Krizz Kaliko, LOCASH, Lisa Loeb, Stephen Kramer Glickman, Yolanda Adams, Israel Houghton, Tye Tribbett, DL Hughley, Lavell Crawford, Ali Siddiq, Dave Grohl, Jeff Probst "Survivor" and many others. His experience in directing multi-camera productions allows him to transition between perspectives in real time, ensuring each performance is captured with clarity and energy.

Harold has also served in senior leadership roles as Head of Production and Director of Operations, overseeing full-scale productions from concept through broadcast delivery. His expertise extends to producing red-carpeted live events, managing all aspects of pre-production, stage design, technical direction, and live execution with precision.
Through his company, Franklin Media Productions (FMP), Harold has partnered with major live events to provide high-quality coverage and content that amplifies the energy of the stage. This includes work with the BET Experience, where he captured dynamic main-stage moments, and producing the Astra Awards Red Carpet & After Party. These projects further expand the company’s footprint in large-scale event coverage.
In addition to his work behind the camera, Harold also works as a talent manager, supporting artists and entertainers as they navigate the industry and build sustainable careers. His approach centers on strategy, brand development, and creating opportunities that highlight both artistry and visibility. Harold has also served as a client talent liaison on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars, further broadening his experience in talent relations. Beyond formal projects, Harold has had the opportunity to connect with many respected artists and public figures throughout his career, some of whom have led to meaningful collaborations. These experiences continue to inspire his work and reinforce his commitment to creating productions that leave a lasting impact.
Harold has also partnered with industry leaders, including HITKOR, Remo, Zildjian, Mapex, and X-Percussion, which are collaborations that underscore his reputation as a trusted creative force in live production and entertainment.
